Eligibility
Entries can be submitted under one of three Age Groups (Middle School Group, High School Group, or Open Group). The appropriate age group is determined by the oldest participating member of the creative team. For Example, a creative team with two eighth graders and one tenth grader would be classified in the High School Group.
The creative team does not include actors appearing in the video. Creative team refers to the artistic directors, videographers, writers, or others who are contributing to the making of the PSA. It is acceptable for a creative team to have actors in the video who are older or younger than the age group the creative team is submitting under. Use of professionals for either direct technical assistance or on-screen talent is allowable only in the Open Group.
For individuals and teams less than 18 years of age or entering under the Middle School or High School Groups, entries must identify a faculty advisor and school to which at least one member of the creative team belongs. A faculty advisor must be a current full or part-time member of a public or private school. The Open Group does not require a faculty advisor. However, a release form signed by a legal guardian for each member of the team under 18 years of age is required.
All competition entrants must be a legal resident of the United States. This competition is void where prohibited and subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations as well as the official competition rules, regulations, and procedures.
