Contest Categories
This year, entries are sought in three categories. Contestants should choose an appropriate target audience and design Public Service Announcements (PSAs) that are likely to be effective for the chosen audience.
Cover the Cough
In this category, the PSA should demonstrate proper coughing or sneezing into the elbow or upper sleeve (see www.cdc.gov for more information). The message should discourage coughing into one's hands.
Obesity Prevention through Physical Activity
Entries in this category encourage viewers to become active through increased everyday activities (gardening, taking the stairs, etc.) or organized exercise (walking, running, etc.).
Distracted Driving
The focus of this category is to portray the dangers of driving while engaging in other activities, such as talking on cell phones, putting on makeup, eating, or even daydreaming.
